Andrew A. Bain

Andrew A. Bain’s career reflects a deep dedication to community service and a steadfast commitment to equity. Born in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Bain was raised in a family that valued service to others, inspired by his father’s work as a pastor. He graduated from Blanche Ely High School in Pompano Beach and went on to play football at the University of Miami, where he also excelled academically, earning a degree in psychology and African American studies with honors. Bain’s athletic career included a stint in the National Football League with the New York Giants.

Driven by his passion for justice, Bain pursued a legal career, earning his Juris Doctor from Florida A&M University College of Law in 2013. He began his legal career as an assistant state attorney in Florida’s Ninth Judicial Circuit, where he served for seven years, gaining extensive prosecutorial experience.

In June 2020, Bain was appointed as a judge by Governor Ron DeSantis. Recognized for his integrity and dedication, he was elected by Orange County residents to continue serving in this role in 2022. Bain also demonstrated his commitment to community development as the founding president of IDignity Osceola Inc., an organization dedicated to helping indigent individuals obtain vital identification documents.

In August 2023, Governor DeSantis appointed Bain as the State Attorney for the Ninth Judicial Circuit, representing Orange and Osceola counties. As chief prosecutor, Bain is focused on enhancing community safety by holding violent offenders accountable and ensuring fair and just prosecutions.

With extensive experience in litigation, government, business, and nonprofit leadership, Bain leverages his diverse background to advocate effectively for his clients. His career exemplifies a lifelong commitment to service, justice, and the betterment of his community.
