Jim Byrd, Head of the Corporate and Securities Practice Group, is a corporate and securities attorney with over 30 years experience in capital markets transactions, private and public offerings, corporate finance and corporate governance matters.

Jim began his legal career at Baker & Hostetler prior to founding his own law firm in 1987. As a corporate and securities attorney, he has guided businesses from startups to publicly traded companies through complex legal and financial landscapes.

In addition to his extensive corporate and capital markets experience, Jim is a seasoned trial attorney with experience litigating cases in both State and Federal courts. He has represented clients before the SEC and FINRA, argued before the Florida Supreme Court, and presented cases to the U.S. Court of Appeals.

Jim has held leadership roles in numerous private and public companies, including serving as Vice Chairman of Success Magazine, New York (1998-2000), and has taken on roles such as Chairman, CEO, General Counsel, and Director of a number of private and public companies in his career.
